How I got here
From my first start to racing for the Czech Republic. The good results, and the races that didn't go to plan. A selection of turning points, not a complete list of races.

First race
A friend seven years older than me, someone I looked up to, got me into triathlon. My first race was in Opočno: a 500 m swim, 20 km on the bike and a 6 km run in 1:06:23.

Did not finish: XTERRA Slovakia
I was riding in around 6th place overall when my rear tire went flat. The puncture couldn't be fixed, so I had to retire and walk the last few kilometers to the finish.

11th in Elite, XTERRA Austria
12th overall out of 160 athletes and 11th in the Elite category. Confirmation that I can race with the best, and motivation to go higher still.
